Shay Kroll, LMSW
Licensed therapist offering virtual therapy throughout New York State
I help adolescents and young adults improve their emotional well-being and restore healthy, restful sleep.
As a restorative sleep therapist and licensed social worker, I specialize in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), a gold-standard, evidence-based treatment that helps clients reduce anxiety around sleep, regain energy, and improve overall mental health. I also support clients navigating anxiety, OCD, depression, and relationship challenges.

My Specialities
I believe sleep is foundational to mental and emotional health. My work in CBT-I combines short-term behavioral strategies with deeper insight-oriented therapy, helping you not just manage sleep struggles but also understand and shift the patterns and stressors behind them.
In addition to sleep treatment, I offer integrated psychotherapy for a wide range of issues, drawing from evidence-based approaches like CBT, DBT, Internal Family Systems (IFS), and mindfulness. My goal is to help you regulate emotions, improve communication, and feel more connected to yourself and others.
I bring experience working with diverse populations, including Ukrainian refugees, individuals facing chronic illness, and teens in crisis. I understand how grief, change, and transition can shape your inner world, and I offer a space that is compassionate, collaborative, and attuned to your needs.
At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship. I work closely with each client to build trust, explore challenges, and take meaningful steps forward. I’m continually inspired by the growth I witness and honored to be a part of each client’s journey.
Outside of my clinical work, I enjoy traveling, cooking, and spending quality time with my family and friends
